First Aid & CPR Manitoba
In health care, maintaining high standards of care is essential to protect the public. For regulated nurses and physicians, keeping resuscitation and first-aid skills current is part of an annual competence cycle and is often an employer requirement; for health care aides it is built into the qualification for the role. Here is what the rules expect for your role — and how recognized, up-to-date, documented training meets it.
Nurses in Manitoba are regulated by the College of Registered Nurses of Manitoba (CRNM), which requires all RNs and NPs to complete an annual learning plan through a mandatory Continuing Competency Program (CCP) under the Regulated Health Professions Act. The program relies on self-assessment and a learning plan rather than a fixed number of hours, and submissions are subject to audit. Physicians are regulated by the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Manitoba (CPSM).
Nursing standards require registrants to maintain the competencies their practice demands and to respond appropriately in an emergency. Clinically relevant self-directed activities such as BLS or CPR can be recorded within the CCP, and in hospital and long-term-care settings a current BLS or CPR certificate is generally an employer requirement rather than a licensing condition.
Continuing competence is mandatory but not measured in fixed hours: the CRNM program requires an annual self-assessment and learning plan rather than a set number of credits.
- 培训者的能力;
- 内容的相关性与质量;
- 培训的框架;
- 所提供材料的质量;
In Manitoba, the CRNM applies the criteria used to assess and audit continuing-competence submissions.
For support staff, Manitoba Health Care Aide (HCA) programs deliver a Standard First Aid certificate and CPR Level C, preparing graduates to work in personal care homes and home care. First aid and CPR are a required component of the qualification for the role; a recognized standalone certificate meets that component and must be kept current, so it is renewed on schedule.
- 一份正式证明;
- 一份结业证书;
- 一份明细发票;
我们严格遵循 ILCOR(International Liaison Committee on Resuscitation)的建议,该国际机构负责对全球复苏标准进行科学评估与制定。
