Manitoba Health Care Aide programs include a Standard First Aid certificate and CPR Level C, preparing graduates to work in personal care homes and home care, where they can respond to adults in an emergency and use an AED.
A recognized, up-to-date first-aid/CPR certificate is the way to meet this requirement; it is in addition to the aide's occupational training and must be renewed periodically.
