Becoming a foster family in Manitoba means providing a safe home to a child or youth in care. As part of preparing to care, a current first-aid and CPR certificate is commonly expected so caregivers can handle everyday emergencies.
急救要求
In Manitoba, foster homes are licensed under the Foster Homes Licensing Regulation made under The Child and Family Services Act, which requires the home to meet health and safety standards. First-aid and CPR training is commonly required or arranged by the licensing agency as part of caregiver preparation, but it is expected under agency practice rather than fixed by a single explicit statutory clause.
The certificate is confirmed by the licensing Child and Family Services agency handling your file. It is one requirement in addition to the home study and the assessment of your suitability to foster, and should be kept current.
